A Wind Mitigation Inspection ( or WindMit how we call it) includes all components requested by Insurance Companies in Hurricane-prone zones (Miami Dade & Broward Counties) to base the premium rate to be applied. Elements Inspected: - Gable End Wall attachments - Roof Covering, structure and Sub-structure - Conditions of the Roof Substrate - Type of wall structure (Wood, Masonry, Reinforced Masonry or Concrete) - Configuration of the Roof (ex: Hip Roof, Gable Roof or Flat Roof, etc.) - Presence of Impact Windows and Doors
